8th June 2025.
A couple of years ago, I traded Melbourne’s winter for Mumbai’s monsoon, hoping to tap into new creative energy and give myself another chance at living in India. Bombay didn’t just welcome me — it pulled me in completely.
There’s a certain magic to this city. The people are warm, open, and full of life. I wandered through the iconic Chor Bazaar and found old refurbished iPods buried among vintage gems. On a friend’s recommendation, I joined a local heritage walk group — and that turned out to be a turning point. I not met people and discovered stories etched into the city’s streets and architecture.
Those four weeks were full of moments that made me slow down and really see the world I was away from for 10 years. Bombay gave me space to learn, to create, and to reconnect — both with the world around me and with myself. Every frame I captured holds a piece of that journey.
One a random weekend, I was capturing bandstand and the beach outside SRK’s Mannat when I found a fabulous artist who was working on a Mural for Shah Rukh Khan’s next release ‘Jawan’. Here are the amazing progress pictures of the stunning mural Kanak Nanda created. You can find her work on Instagram (@kanaknanda)

I had the privilege of joining the direction team for Paan Parda Zarda, an upcoming Reliance and Jio web series helmed by the award-winning duo Gurmeet Singh and Sanjay Kapoor. What started as an ‘internship’ quickly turned into a steep but invaluable learning curve — collaborating with some of the industry’s finest and walking away with not just experience, but lifelong friends. One of my most memorable days was the recce where we travelled with the HODs to numerous locations across North Maharashtra, thanks to Producer Padmini Nandkumar — a true powerhouse who made the experience possible.
