Sana Panghal
Sana is an Indian-born, Naarm/Melbourne-based writer and director dedicated to inclusive storytelling in Australian cinema. She founded Evadere Studios to create safe, diverse spaces for multicultural voices across all stages of production.
Her directorial debut, Irkha, won Best First-Time Filmmaker at the Cannes Shorts Film Festival 2023 and was recognised at multiple international festivals. Other notable works include the dance-based short Twin Flame, Forget Me Not, music video Wrong Time Wrong Place and short film Quarantine.
Sana has also worked on an Australian-Indian documentary on Indian cinema ‘Brand Bollywood... Down Under’ and contributed to a Reliance-Jio web series.
